SSH Telnet in Shared Hosting
In case you have a shared hosting account with our company and you'd like to handle your content remotely using SSH, you can receive SSH access to the account via your Hepsia Control Panel. If your plan does not provide this feature as standard, you can easily add it with a couple of mouse clicks via the Upgrades menu. Inside the SSH section of the Control Panel, you will see the host, the port number and the username which you should use when you connect to the account. You can even pick what password you would want to use, since it does not have to be the same as the one for your account. We have prepared several Help articles where you can easily find all the commands that you'll be able to use with a shared hosting package, along with examples of how they are used. Also, if SSH access is allowed for your account, you shall be able to establish a Secure FTP (SFTP) connection by using a standard client like FileZilla, for instance.
SSH Telnet in Semi-dedicated Servers
All our semi-dedicated server accounts offer the possibility to access and manage them through SSH. If the package that you have chosen incorporates this feature by default, you simply need to activate the SSH access feature through the corresponding section of the Hepsia Control Panel. If the function is listed as an additional upgrade, you could quickly add it via the Add Services/Upgrades link in the Hepsia Control Panel and it'll be available within a minute. We have various help articles and video tutorials concerning the use of SSH commands to manage your account and an entire list of the commands that you can carry out together with various examples to provide you with a better understanding of what you can do. If SSH is active, you shall also be able to set up an SFTP connection to the account and to upload information safely through any FTP application that supports the feature.
SSH Telnet in VPS Servers
All our VPS server plans feature SSH access as standard, so you shall not need to include any upgrades or enable anything - the second the server is set up and you receive its login info, you'll be able to connect via its main IP address and the login credentials which you've selected through the signup process. Due to the fact that the VPS accounts feature full root-level access, there aren't any restrictions regarding the commands which you could run. Your server will be isolated from the others on the physical machine, so you shall be able to manage more or less everything using a command line, including server-side software installations and reboots. In this way, you are able to work with your files, databases and any applications which you install in a fast and protected way.
