A catch-all e-mailbox is one that captures all the messages sent to nonexistent email addresses. For example, if your address is info@domain.com, but somebody miswrites it and sends an email to inof@domain.com, it will still be received in the catch-all mailbox that you have configured. Only one mailbox per domain can have this feature enabled and in this way you will never miss messages because the other side has an outdated email address or has made a typographical error. The negative aspect of creating a catch-all mailbox is that you may begin receiving lots of unsolicited bulk email messages, but this problem can be solved using an anti-spam protection solution. It’s also important to know that a mailbox with an activated catch-all feature cannot redirect inbound messages to a third-party address.

Catch-all Emails in Shared Hosting

In case you have a shared hosting with our company and you would like to activate the catch-all feature for a particular mailbox that you’ve got in your hosting account, it will take literally only one single mouse click in the Email Manager section of your Hepsia Control Panel to do that. A catch-all button is available next to each email address that you have created under any domain registered in your account. You can pick one address per domain name by clicking on the corresponding button. This will activate the feature immediately, so all email messages sent to miswritten addresses will be delivered there. Clicking on the button once more will turn off the catch-all feature. If you’ve got active email forwarding, our system will show a cautionary notification and you will not be able to activate the catch-all feature till you disable the forwarding or you can simply choose some other mailbox to be the catch-all one.

Catch-all Emails in Semi-dedicated Servers

You’ll be able to set up a catch-all address with no more than one click if you have a semi-dedicated server with our company and your email messages are handled by our cloud platform. All the addresses that you create with any domain name hosted in the account will be listed in the Email Manager section of your Hepsia hosting Control Panel. Each of them will have a small "Catch-all" icon on its right-hand side, so all it will take to activate this option will be to click on that icon. In the same way you will be able to disable the feature, if you don’t need it anymore. Our system will let you know if you’re trying to enable a 2nd catch-all mailbox for a particular domain or in case there’s activated email forwarding, but it will never change or deactivate any feature automatically and without your approval.
